Goblin

Hush, oh hush, you monstrous beast!

Or on your bones I’ll have to feast.

Do not hide your eyes away,

Or I’ll serve them on a silver tray.

My arms are warm, but the earth is cold.

Which would you rather you enfold?

You bite me with your hungry teeth,

But their poison brings me no relief.

Because, my little wriggling worm,

My grip on you remains too firm.
